The Nexus Regional Dialogues
EU Nexus Dialogues Programme responds to the challenge for radical proposals to help achieve universal access to food, drinking water and modern energy as called for in 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG’s).
The Programme directly builds on the EUWI experiences and is designed to stimulate international and regional dialogues. The Regional Nexus dialogues help to make the water, energy and food security approach a mainstream global policy. They also contribute towards the promotion of integrated investments and policy making processes, as well as inclusive capacity development efforts.
Five regional Nexus dialogues are part of the Nexus Dialogues Programme. Two (MENA and Latin America) were initiated by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and inserted into the joint programme. The other three (Central Asia, Niger Basin and southern Africa) started January 2017)
